Onyx Record Press caters to all artists and provides competitive pricing and quick
turnaround times. We use state-of-the-art pressing machines and an order tracking
system for the highest quality vinyl production and customer service. Our
combination of experience, work ethic, quality control, and technology makes us a
unique source for vinyl production. We ship orders globally, and local pickup is also

THE PHEENIX ALPHA AD12
Onyx presses on the Pheenix Alpha AD12 — a fully automatic press built in Sweden by the engineers behind Toolex Alpha, whose machines pressed a huge share of the records in your collection. The AD12 takes that proven design and rebuilds it with modern automation and control, which is why it's become the press of choice for plants that care about what comes off the line.
Everything that used to ride on an operator's hands and timing is handled by the machine. A pre-plasticizing extruder melts and forms each vinyl cake to a set weight, air cylinders deliver it dead center, and centering, pressing, trimming and unloading run on the same cycle every time. Cake weight and press parameters are dialed in on a touch screen and held there — so record 500 sounds like record 1.
And because we're in the Los Angeles area, you don't have to wait on freight to hear your record. Local artists are welcome to pick their orders up in person.
